VocabularyThe pack includes approximately 540 topic specific and 180 general signs to provide examples from the everyday environment in line with the schemes of work and units for Key Stage 1 and 2 together with the more technical terms required for Key Stage 3. The pack provides a good basic core vocabulary to enable the creation of materials needed to convey the ideas and concepts involved in this wide subject area covering Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Included are signs to encourage awareness of global issues and climate change. |

Using the ImagesThe sign graphics files are in emf format, which can be used on their own as clip-art graphics and incorporated into most standard applications such as MS WORD and DTP programs by searching by file name and inserting each graphic in the usual way. For simpler and more instant access to the signs via words, part words, synonyms and associated meanings, the graphics work at their best in Widgit Software Symbol writing applications such as Writing with Symbols and Communicate: In Print and this is what we recommend. |
