The Tudor reading books pack has books on five topics:

This activity pack contains materials based on these themes.

Download it for use in Communicate: In Print 2, including all the additional graphics so that you can tailor the materials to suit your group and make your own materials.
You need 'Communicate: In Print 2' installed to able to use this resource

Download the packs as PDF Files. These do not require symbol software, but you will not be able to edit the activities.
You do not need any Widgit software to be able to use this resource

The Tudor activity pack has a set of six activities for each of the Tudor reading books:

As well as using the materials as supplied, they can be modified or adapted for individual needs.

• Edit a book leaving just the pictures for pupils to write their own sentences.
• Use the flash cards as pictures to illustrate pupil writing and displays
• Use the vocabulary checklist as a reference sheet for individual writers.
• Record pupil progress and understanding of the vocabulary on the checklist
• Print the flashcards from each book for vocabulary games.

Printing the materials from Communicate: In Print 2

If you install the The Communicate: In Print 2 set of files to a shared area, you can locate them in the Communicate files/In Print Writing folder, Widgit Resources. If you install to a personal area, the files can be located in My Documents/My InPrint Writing/Widgit Resources. The files include any additional symbols or graphics that are used in the packs, which will be available for you to use in your own materials.

The extra vocabulary for the wordlist and the extra graphics are provided with the pack and automatically added to your Widgit graphic resources. This enables you to also create your own materials to meet individual needs.

Communicate: In Print gives you the option to print either as single sheets or as books ready to staple and fold. You can also choose to print double sided. You can print them in A4 or A5, and can choose to have the symbols in colour or black and white.

Printing the PDF Files

The PDF version of this pack cannot be configured for individual use, but do not require specific symbol software.

These files can be printed directly from Acrobat Reader. You do not need any of the Widgit Products to access these files, but you will need to have Adobe Acrobat installed.
