Combined words and Comparatives

Combined Words
There has been a tendency to create unnecessary numbers of additional symbols where a concept is in fact represented by two words. The rule will be that where the two words used make a reasonable representation of the concept, then there should be no special symbol. For example 'hot food' However where there is a single concept such as hair brush, frying pan, that will have its unique symbol.

The alternative styles are represented by the following structure:

Common items are made in style 1 but it is easy to create style 2 using the new resource Manager. (Style 3 does not need creation)

Speak
Speak uses the speech bubble rather than the wavy lines. (The wavy lines are also used for heat), It is permitted to add content to the speech bubble where appropriate (as in allow = say OK). Sound, however uses the speaker element. So animal sounds are not represented by speech but by sound.

Comparatives
Comparatives are likely to be a level 2 vocabulary item only. Various alternatives have been tried, and the consensus suggests the following, using grey exclamations. One small one for the comparative and two for the superlative. The group consensus suggests that this works for users who can understand the idea of comparatives, and is ignored by others.
